How are food allergies and special dietary needs handled at camp?

All food/other allergy information is inputted through Camp InTouch by you for overnight camp on the Health History form. If a parent does not put that information in time, they can fill out the appropriate paperwork when they arrive at camp and give it to the nurse.

Our catering service staff and camp staff review Health History forms ahead of each session to make sure all allergies are accounted for. It is a best practice to complete your camper’s health information early to share this information with camp and kitchen staff so they will be ready to help accommodate your child’s needs.

At our overnight camps (Tomahawk Ranch and Sky High Ranch), we are “nut aware.” This means that although we are not entirely nut free, we can accommodate campers with nut allergies. If we have a camper with extreme nut allergies, we do not serve nuts during that session of camp.
