myGS Membership Renewal FAQs

Are you ready to renew your Girl Scout membership and need advice? Here are our top tips for renewal success using myGS.

How can I renew my Girl Scout membership?
You can access myGS to renew your membership by clicking on this link, or by going to http://www.girlscoutsofcolorado.org and clicking on the yellow “MY GS” tab in the upper right corner of the page. Be sure to select “Member Profile” from the drop down menu.



Choose the renewal option that best fits your needs – “Membership” to renew members of your family or “Troops” to renew members of your troop.



How do I login to myGS?
Your username is your email address that you selected when registering. If you forgot your password, click "forgot password" and you'll get an email explaining how to reset it. If your email has changed, please contact Customer Care at 877-404-5708 or inquiry@gscolorado.org.

I'm a member of the troop leadership team - can I renew my whole troop at once? 
Yes, troop leadership team members can renew troop members during the renewal period, from April 1st – September 30th! Choose the "Troops" tab after you login to myGS and you will see a full list of all girls and adults in your troop. Select the appropriate membership year from the drop down menu in the top right corner. By default, you will be set to renew all girl and adult members in your troop. If there are members not returning, choose “Don’t renew” or “I’ll decide later” for each girl or adult volunteer role on the Troop Roster.  Once you have made all of your selections, click “Continue” at the bottom of that screen.  You will be able to verify your edits on the next screen.



Do I need to renew all of my roles and will I be charged multiple times?
Adults may have multiple volunteer roles across the system. You should renew the roles that you are going to continue participating in. You will only be charged for one membership. You may add other volunteer roles for yourself at any time during the year, simply click the green “Add Role” from the “Participation” column to proceed. 
 
If I am a leader, how do I know if a member in my troop has already renewed their membership?
In your myGS Member Profile, make sure that you are looking at the appropriate membership year in your “Troops” tab. In order to view this information, you will need to be a current member of the troop leadership team. If a member has already renewed their membership for that year, you will see their status listed as current. You may still need to renew them into the role if they have not already done this themselves, but you will not be charged. At this time, you can also add roles for volunteers in your troop.
 
How can I pay for memberships?
Parents can pay with a credit or debit card, and may request financial assistance. Troop leadership team members will need to pay with a credit or debit card. Cookie Credits cannot be used to purchase memberships, click here to find out the exciting way that you can use Cookie Credits.
