Family Camp FAQs

Is the cost listed per person or per family? 
Each camp lists pricing per person and we require that each member of the family registers for family camps- children and adults. 
 
 
How are accommodations, meals and programming organized at family camps?
All programming and meals are organized by GSCO staff. We take care of the food and activities, you just show up for the fun and enjoy the experience! Lodging varies by the camp and the facilities at that property, but families will be housed all together, and will not share with another family in a private room. In general, beds are bunk beds with mattresses. More information about lodging will be provided in your welcome letter upon registration.
 
 
How do I register as an adult for family camp? 
  1. Log in to your existing family account or to create a new account at CampInTouch, then select ‘2018’ from the drop-down season menu.
    • If you already have a camper profile in CampInTouch, check the circle next to your name, and verify your personal information. Your school should be listed as “Adult or N/A” and your grade should be listed as “Adult”. Then select next.
    • If you do not have a camper profile in CampInTouch, check the circle next to the option for ‘Another Child’ and then complete your personal information to create a camper profile for yourself. School should be listed as “Adult or N/A”, grade should be listed as “Adult”. Then select next. 
  2. Select the desired camp session from the list of options under “Troop Camp, Family Camp & Trips”, you will select the same session as your child camper. 
  3. The next page will ask for guardian information, please list yourself and/or your spouse as your own guardian, and under relationship please select “Other (M)” or “Other (F).
  4. Finish your registration as prompted by CampInTouch. This process includes: emergency contact information, liability signatures and payment. If your session has a fee, you will only be required to pay the non-refundable 10% deposit to secure your spot. 
Congratulations! You have created a camper profile as an adult and secured a spot in your camp session. You are almost done! Before you can attend camp, you will need to complete a couple forms (basic health history, photo release, liability waivers, and permission slips specific to your camp) in the “Forms & Documents” section in your CampInTouch account.
 
All camp welcome letters (including packing lists, directions, arrival/ departure times) and additional permission slips will be available in your CampInTouch account under “Forms & Documents” after March 1. All pre-camp forms and final balance are due four weeks prior to your first day of camp.
